booklet - PROJECT INFO Lazertown! Ltd. - 5.5" x 8.5"
Aesthetic is Philadelphia-centric arts magazine produced by the Lazertown! art collective. Lazertown! needed an advertising information brochure in a hurry, so the deadline on this was only a week. There was no budget for images or photography, so they asked that I use free images from the Library of Congress or clip art. The client liked the look of old time etchings, so we decided to go that route. In the end (for the cover) I took photos myself, and turned them into illustrations that look like etchings.

Ink smudges from printing presses were used along with found textures to give this brochure an "underground" feel. The actual size of Aesthetic Magazine was used on this project, to give a good idea of the size ad people would be buying. There was no logo at this point, and there was no time to design one before the deadline, so a blackletter font was chosen to compliment the imagery. Also, the ads were provided, and not designed by me.
